Week 12 & 13 – Can’t Believe I’m Here

Seriously. It feels like a blink of an eye, and wham – I’m at the end of week 13. Why does time fly so fast?

As my first trimester is  nearing to an end, this is the summary of my conditions so far:

  • Nausea and loss of appetite
  • Metallic taste in the tongue
  • Bloated stomach, which leads to constant burping and flatulance
  • Tingling nipples
  • Headaches
  • Heartburn
  • Backache near the tailbone
  • Thirsty all the time
  • Forgetfulness
  • Tiredness

If I heard someone say to me “enjoy your pregnancy” one more time, I’d smack her face in. Read the rest of this entry

Week 11 – Third Obgyn visit

Standard

It’s time again for the monthly doctor’s visit. Hubby is getting used to sitting in the waiting room full of expectant mothers at various stages of pregnancy, he creates a diversion of betting the sex of the baby just by looking at the shape of the bellies. He tries to teach me how to differentiate between a cone-shaped stomach and a saggy round one, but I just can’t be bothered. Week 9 & 10 – Reality Check

Standard

I watch with dismay as my body is slowly being transformed. I am no longer a woman, I am now a nest.. and soon I will be a source of dairy for a hungry and demanding baby. My body is definitely taking over my mind, everything I have in my body for myself are now changed ownership to provide for the fetus. I’m not sure I’m liking this. Will I ever be able to get my body back for myself again after delivery? Or will I get stuck forever in a mommy body? Read the rest of this entry
